In preparation for the changes to regulation of waste streaming and waste separation which will come into place in 2015, Waste Matters are offering a Waste Monitoring service. This involves ‘identification, quantification and reporting’ on waste streams through an innovative system of colour coding , fob technology, camera controlled waste hopper and touch screen controls to ensure that all waste is accounted for accurately. The results are captured as data which can then be used for compulsory reporting as well as helping organisations understand the cost of their waste, enabling them to achieve cost-savings.

Planet First is delighted that Waste Matters has been certified to The Planet Mark since 2012, which shows that they too are committed to continual improvement in sustainability. For this certification, Waste Matters are working to reduce their carbon footprint by 2.5% each year by measuring and monitoring their environmental and social performance.
