This is Gieves & Hawkes’ second year of business carbon footprint reporting. Gieves & Hawkes first calculated the carbon footprint of its 7 retail sites, head office and warehouse operations in the UK for the year ending December 2017 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually. This year’s footprint includes emissions from natural gas, purchased electricity and business travel for the same 7 retail sites, head office and warehouse operations in the UK for the year ending December 2018.
Gieves & Hawkes’ total carbon footprint in year ending December 2018 was 151.2 tCO2e, a decrease of 28.5% from YE 2017 The relative carbon footprint was 1.5 tCO2e per employee, a decrease of 24.2% compared to YE 2017
