Dunlop Systems and Components (DSC), the famous manufacturer of air suspension and electronic control systems based in Coventry, has chosen to be Planet Mark certified. DSC has chosen the Planet Mark to signify the business commitment to sustainability and bring it into the core of the business.

The certification will be based on DSC’s existing factory, one that they have occupied for the last 100 years. Dunlop Systems and Components are moving into a purpose-built factory at Prologis Park Coventry, which is also to be Planet Mark certified. This will enable DSC to determine how well the business is performing across a range of sustainability criteria.

The Planet Mark certification, which is delivered in partnership with the Eden Project, requires organisations to measure, report and improve on environmental and social data. These include reductions in energy, carbon emissions, water and waste. These improvements will be exemplified through DSC’s commitment to reduce their carbon footprint by a target of 5% each year. DSC’s employees will be actively involved in the creation and implementation of programmes to help the business achieve these goals. It is exciting to see how one of the UK’s longest-serving and most famous motor trade manufacturers is demonstrating leadership in sustainability.
