Chapters Financial has been nominated for best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award in Investment Week’s prestigious Investment Marketing and Innovation Awards (IMAIA) 2016
Chapters Financial, the Planet Mark-certified chartered firm of financial planners and independent financial advisers which employees just six people, is up against financial heavyweights Aviva Investors and Hermes Investment Management in the CSR category.
Its IMAIA nomination comes in the wake of the company achieving a 22% carbon reduction across its operations in its last reporting period (June 2014-June 2015).
IMAIA said it was looking for entries in the CSR category from companies showing “new thinking in addressing Corporate Social Responsibility issues, including sustainability issues.”
Chapters Financial has been certified to The Planet Mark™ since 2011.
Esther Dadswell (pictured left), a director at the Surrey-based firm, said she believed having The Planet Mark™ had helped Chapters Financial be shortlisted for the IMAIA Award.
“To be shortlisted for this award is very exciting,” commented Esther. “We’ve been working with The Planet Mark™ for over five years and we are really proud of how we now think about the environment and sustainability in everything we do.”
Chapters Financial has also been nominated in the 2016 IMAIA Consumer Campaign category for its recently launched online service saidso.co.uk.
Last year, Saidso won the IMAIA ‘Open Innovation’ Award.
The IMAIA are the industry awards for the investment community and are designed to reward creativity and innovation within the sector.
The 2016 IMAIA Awards will take place on July 1.
