Acorn Engineering is one of the leading providers of mechanical and electrical maintenance, BMS and water treatment services, delivering outstanding services to facilities management companies, managing agents and owner occupiers around London and South East England.

This is Acorn Engineering’s sixth year of business carbon footprint reporting. Acorn first calculated the carbon footprint of its Berkshire office and fleet for the year 2013 and set a target to reduce emissions by 5% annually. This year’s footprint includes emissions from energy use in the building (purchased electricity), from travel (fleet and employee-owned vehicles), from water consumption, waste disposal, and from the production of paper used in the office.

Acorn Engineering’s total carbon footprint in year ending December 2018 was 250.9 tCO2e, a decrease of 18.7%from YE 2017. The relative carbon footprint was 1.83 tCO2e per employee, a decrease of 14.4% compared to YE 2017.
