Planet First presents at EMEX with Building Futures Group

The Energy Management Exhibition or EMEX, took place this week on the 19th and 20th November. The main theme of the event was how to manage energy to ensure maximum efficiency and therefore reduce energy consumption.

EMEX creates a temporary hive for everyone who works with energy management to connect, learn and find solutions.

This year, Steve Malkin spoke alongside Building Futures Group and DECC in a seminar entitled ‘Why bother with energy efficiency’

Sarah Bentley, CEO of Building Futures Group chaired the discussion and a representative from DECC drove the case forward for compliance in the property sector.

Phil Stott, Energy Efficiency Programmes Manager at The Building Futures Group continued by explaining how buildings can be run far more efficiently when training is given to everyone, from boardroom to post room.

Steve finished by explaining how energy consumption can be reduced in a building through three steps; measuring, engaging and communicating sustainability.
